Hershey’s Chocolate World:  Vegas Excess – 800 Pound Woman

🍫 Exploring Hershey’s Chocolate World in Las Vegas 🍫

In Las Vegas at Hershey’s Chocolate World, you will find an 800-pound woman. The Statue of Liberty that stands at the entrance to the store is made from 800 pounds of fabulous Hershey’s chocolate.

I came across the Hershey chocolate store as I crossed over to the New York, New York casino from the Excalibur skywalk. On the second floor, you’ll find the chocolate statue. But just walk down the spiral staircase to the ground level floor of this sweet chocolate store and you may very well feel like Willy Wonka making a grand entrance.

But there are no Oompa Loompa there. Just oodles and oodles of mouthwatering chocolate delights.

You can grab a bag and fill it up whatever you want from the huge self-service bins. But along the wall, there’s also a very colorful Reese’s display with everything that you could imagine.

The most delicious concoctions are displayed reverently in the center display cases. In this circular enclosure, stands a chocolatier ready to answer your questions and ring up your purchases.

Just wandering around the store is a treat in itself, and it’s free. You’ll might also want to be sure to pick out a somewhat pricey Niblett to enjoy elsewhere. I had my eye on a multi-layered chocolate brownie, but I couldn’t stomach the $10 price.

Even so, the chocolate Statue of Liberty is a good photo opportunity as well as other areas inside and outside of the store.

If you feel like you have overindulged in your chocolate weaknesses, you might want to consider the 20-minute walk down to the Bellagio casino where they have the world’s largest chocolate fountain.

But Hershey’s Chocolate World far exceeds anything you’ll find at the Bellagio.
