Fontainebleau Las Vegas

Since the Fontainebleau Las Vegas Casino Hotel opened on December 13, 2023 there have been mixed reviews on this $3.7 billion casino. So when I visited Las Vegas on April 3rd, 2023 I just had to check it out.

It’s located toward the North End of the strip across the street from the Circus Circus. One mile further down the strip, you’ll see the Strat, which unofficially marks the north end of the strip. Beyond the Strat is an area that tourists would not be advised to walk at night.

If you intend to see the famous Las Vegas sign at the other end of the strip (past the Mandalay Bay), you will be headed out on a 5.4-mile trek past the best of what Vegas has to offer.

The Fontainebleau Las Vegas offers a “Fontainebleau Rewards” program with $30 in free comps when you sign up for free. This is much more than you’ll find at any other Casino in the area.

Yup, the newly opened Fontainebleau Las Vegas is offering $30 in free comps just for walking in the door and registering for the player’s rewards program. These are not match plays or discounts. They are truly free credits.

You will get $15 in free slot play as well as $15 in free food and beverage credits. All you have to do is use your card at any designated free spin play (FSP) slot machine. These machines are easily located and are not rigged or downplayed in any way.

Cocktail servers will also come by and offer you those free complimentary drinks when you are playing the free slots. Just don’t be a total cheapskate! Please give them a tip and they’ll come back and offer you more.

If you have had enough of those “free drinks” for players, you can also use your $15 in food and beverage credit at the Bleau Bar. You can’t miss it. It is elevated in the middle of the casino floor and it is elegant. Just be sure to ask the bartender for a drink menu so that you don’t end up buying a $30 drink that would cost you a net of 15 dollars (plus tip).

To use your $15 food beverage credit, you can also go check out the dining options. You will also find menus posted there. But be warned, your $15 will not go very far.

This is a great opportunity to wander around this luxury Casino Hotel property.

Plus, if you are hooked on the Fontainebleau you’ll be pleased to know that the program includes four tiers and status matching with other select area casino programs.

How I used my $30 rewards comps

I used my $15 free slot play at a penny machine. Each spin cost 60 cents and it did not pay off well. So I also took this opportunity to cash a $100 bill in the machine. I did end up spending $15 of my own money. But of course, you don’t have to do that. I also had a brandy seven and tipped the server $2. The drink was perfect.

I then went to the blue bar and used my $15 food beverage credit to get a brandy. The bartender suggested a cognac but I asked for a drink menu. It’s a good thing I did! The cognac was $40 and I was not willing to spend an extra $25 for that. The cheapest Brandy on the menu was a $15 Chinese brand. Oddly, this brandy was clear. The bartender offered me a sample, which I took. It wasn’t all that great but I chose a full drink anyway. I also gave him a tip.

In summary, I received $15 in free slot play, had one good drink, and one mediocre drink, I spent $15 on slots and $4 on tips. So this was a $49 experience which cost me $19.

The woman who told me about these comps said that she won $40 on the slot machines and walked out a winner. That’s something that not everyone can boast about in LAs Vegas.
