“Today’s Las Vegas A’s stadium update (April 21) starts with a moment you can’t miss… “BIG RED” is now installed. A massive crane has officially joined the site—and when you see it in person, you understand immediately: this project just leveled up. We counted EIGHT active cranes operating at once. Steel is moving constantly, and the pace has clearly accelerated. 🏗️ Steel in the Air — Precision at Another Level We got there early and caught crews actively lifting and placing steel beams into position. Watching this up close, you realize—it’s not just construction… it’s choreography. One of the most fascinating parts today: * Crews were installing gutter sections high above the structure * Each piece has to be lifted in a specific order * They’re sent up by chain, one-by-one, based on size and placement sequence And here’s where it got real… 👉 One piece was out of order. They had to: * Bring it back down * Reorganize the sequence * Send everything back up correctly When you’ve got 33 steel components flying through the air, there is ZERO room for error. Every inch, every height, every order matters. 🔩 The Arch is Coming Together On the back side of the site, we saw major progress on the curved steel arch. * Ironworkers actively tying sections together * The arc is now visibly continuing across the structure * You can finally start to see the stadium’s signature shape forming This is one of the biggest visual changes yet. 🚜 Ground Work Still Moving While steel is going up, crews are also: * Working dirt and grading areas * Prepping for future pavement and access routes It’s happening simultaneously—up in the air and down on the ground. 🎯 What Today Means This wasn’t just another update.
