Trump’s INSANE Las Vegas speech was an all-time low for the presidency

“Donald Trump took the stage in Las Vegas for what was supposed to be a speech about working families and tax cuts, but what he delivered was something much darker. He attacked American cities, electric vehicle drivers, Canada, Democrats, the press, the courts, and even seemed to say out loud that Republicans are greedy. He stood before working families and praised billionaires as the people who must be taken care of first. Then he went further, calling Democrats communists over and over again, using one of the most loaded words in modern history to frighten his base, erase political opposition, and distract from the damage his own policies are doing to American families. Based on the events of 8-5-2026 The Breakdown: * Trump entered Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa in Las Vegas at 5:08 PM to Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA,” stopping several times to catch his breath before beginning a speech billed as “Working Families Tax Cuts.” * The speech lasted one hour and sixteen minutes, but very little of it focused on working families or tax cuts. * Trump attacked Democratic-led cities as “filthy dirty all the time” and said “the cities stink, they smell.” * He claimed people who drive electric cars are “diseased,” then later insisted, “And I like electric cars.” * Trump called Canada and Canadian people “nasty,” taking aim at one of America’s closest allies and neighbors. * He opened with a moment of silence for Officer Austin Abdelnabi, a 30-year-old Marine veteran and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police officer killed in the line of duty. * When Governor Joe Lombardo later mentioned Officer Abdelnabi’s name, the crowd booed until Lombardo corrected them and explained he was naming the fallen officer. * The booing came after Trump had attacked Abdul El-Sayed, Michigan’s Democratic Senate nominee, calling him a communist, “full of shit,” “a man of hate,” and claiming he hates Israel and Jewish people. * Trump complained to UFC executive Dana White that he gets no credit from the “fake news,” feeding the crowd’s hostility toward the press. * He claimed 440,000 tipped workers in Nevada saved an average of $10,000 on taxes, while independent analysis and the Congressional Budget Office point to higher costs and major health coverage losses under his agenda. * The Congressional Budget Office estimates the One Big Beautiful Bill Act will result in roughly 10 million Americans losing health coverage over the next decade, including about 70,000 in Nevada. * The bill cuts $911 billion from Medicaid, a program relied on by approximately 800,000 Nevadans. * Trump praised the Fertitta brothers and Phil Ruffin, calling Ruffin “a money machine,” while Governor Lombardo defended taking care of billionaire friends because they “provide jobs.” * Trump described his White House ballroom and bunker project as “a big military complex,” shifting language that makes a vanity project sound like a national security necessity. * While talking about the Big Beautiful Bill, Trump said, “we’re greedy and we’re asking for a lot of other things,” accidentally saying the quiet part out loud. * Trump told the crowd that Melania says his impressions are “not presidential,” then answered that he won in a landslide, while offering no explanation for her increasingly rare public appearances. * He exaggerated the value of Trump Accounts for newborns, suggesting poor children could end up with $100,000 to $300,000, while official and independent estimates put the initial $1,000 far closer to $4,000 to $6,000 without major family contributions. * Trump said Democrats would never win again under what he called “fair and strong elections,” revealing a vision of elections designed to eliminate political competition. * He said he would fire liberal Supreme Court justices if he could, then immediately tried to walk back the admission after describing justices as people who “just don’t belong.” * Trump called Democrats communists more than a dozen times, comparing communism to Pearl Harbor and 9/11 while repeating coordinated Republican messaging that echoes McCarthyism.
