World Series of Poker player said he was robbed after collecting winnings in Las Vegas

“A World Series of Poker player said he was tied up and robbed after returning to a Las Vegas rental home with his tournament winnings. Professional poker player Jared Griener identified himself as the victim in a series of posts on X this week. Griener wrote he had just collected his payout from the World Series of Poker before returning to his Airbnb near Vegas Drive and Buffalo Drive. In a statement to police that he posted online, he said the front door was locked when he arrived, but after entering the residence he found two men inside who tackled him to the ground and “hog-tied” him with duct tape. Griener said he left his backpack with his winnings in the car and told the suspected thieves its location after they threatened to kill him if he didn’t tell them.
