Woman sentenced for deadly 2015 crash on Las Vegas Strip sidewalk

“A woman received her prison sentence for driving a car onto a Las Vegas Strip sidewalk in 2015, killing one woman and injuring several others. Judge Tierra Jones delivered her sentence Thursday for Lakeisha Holloway, 35, also known as Paris Paradise Morton, for the death of Jessica Valenzuela, 32, a tourist from Arizona. The judge ordered Holloway to 18 years to life in prison, with credit for over 10 years of time served. Holloway must also pay over $70,000 in restitution. “The only thing I can say is, I hope that today, this closes a chapter for everybody who’s involved in this,” Jones said before delivering the sentence.
