We were STUNNED to get baseballs like this in Las Vegas
“I’ve snagged more than 13,000 baseballs over the past 36 years, so when I get one in a specific way that’s NEVER happened before, it’s mind-blowing. That’s what happened here in the bottom of the 6th inning at Las Vegas Ballpark where the Athletics were playing the Colorado Rockies, and let me clarify something that I didn’t properly explain in the video: prior to this, over the course of my entire life, I’d gotten two baseballs authenticated AFTER I had snagged them, but this was the first time that I got one that had ALREADY been authenticated. Weird, right?? This video was filmed on June 13, 2026 but the ball had been used three days earlier when the Brewers had been here. Jack Perkins pitched it to Jake Bauers in the top of the 1st inning, and in case you’re wondering, it was an 87.9-mph sweeper. Bauers swung and missed, the ball got past Shea Langeliers, and Andrew Vaughn advanced to 2nd base. It was great to receive a warm welcome and be well fed. (Fun fact: right before I headed upstairs, Jose Canseco walked in — unfortunately too quickly to get him in the video.) Also, thanks to Rachel Messbauer for filming and to Celia Messbauer for editing, and finally, thanks to YOU for watching!”
