Today we are taking a full walking tour around the A’s ballpark construction site at the old Tropicana corner, and wow, has it taken shape. That big arch is finally up, the skyline is changing forever, and we are grabbing some of the best views in the entire city. Along the way we stop into OYO, find the coolest rooftop view in Vegas, ride the Excalibur moving walkway and the free tram, visit the forgotten Enchanted Garden entrance at Mandalay Bay, and check out the October 1st memorial land, the Skyview stacks, and where Bally’s will eventually rise. A lot is changing on this end of the Strip and we walk all of it. The A’s stadium will be one of the smallest in Major League Baseball at 33,000 seats, but it is not coming cheap with a price tag near $2 billion. Is it worth it?
