But there are some things I wish someone had been upfront with me about before I made the move. First, the heat is no joke. We are talking 115 degrees and higher in the summer and it goes on for months. Second, the traffic has changed dramatically. Las Vegas has grown so fast and the roads have not kept up. What used to be a ten minute drive can now take thirty. And fourth, the water. Lake Mead supplies most of our water and drought conditions have been a real ongoing concern for the entire valley.
