Las Vegas A’s Stadium Update: Massive Steel Lifts & Big Red in Action! (April 27, 2026)

“Big things are happening today at the Las Vegas A’s stadium site! 🏗️⚾️ In today’s update (Monday, April 27, 2026), we’re seeing some of the most technical work to date at the former Tropicana site. The transition from concrete decking to heavy steel framing is in full swing, and the skyline is changing by the hour. Key Highlights from Today’s Update: • Shoring Tower Assembly: We caught a great look at the massive green vertical shoring towers being assembled and lifted into place. These towers are the “backbone” that will support the upcoming roof structure installation. • “Big Red” is Ready: The giant red crawler crane is fully visible and starting to handle the heavy lifting. This powerhouse is essential for the massive steel members required for the stadium’s unique design. • Steel Framework Growth: Crews are busy on the upper levels, securing horizontal beams and vertical columns. You can see the sheer scale of the project as the steel skeleton begins to frame the views of Mandalay Bay and the Luxor. • Precision Lifting: Watch as the team manages high-altitude steel lifts and coordinates with the ground crews to keep this $2 billion project on schedule for the 2028 Opening Day. It is incredible to see how much progress has been made just in the last week. The density of cranes on-site—including the 8-crane setup we’ve been tracking—is a testament to the speed of this build.
