Hurricane Rachel remnants may disrupt Las Vegas weekend events with wind and rain

“Remnants of Hurricane Rachel are expected to bring strong winds and rainfall to the Las Vegas Valley this weekend, potentially disrupting outdoor events across the area. Organizers say they are monitoring the forecast and preparing backup plans to keep attendees safe. From the Age of Chilvalry Renaissance Festival at Sunset Park to Pride celebrations across the valley, event organizers say they are hopeful the weather will cooperate but are taking precautions in case conditions worsen. “We are way ahead of the game when it comes to the weather, so we will be prepared for that,” said Patrick Almeida, director of Clark County Parks and Recreation. “If you just keep track of our website, social media posts and media releases, we are going to watch the weather like everybody else here this weekend.” MORE: https://news3lv.com/news/local/hurricane-rachel-remnants-may-disrupt-las-vegas-weekend-events-with-wind-and-rain _______________ Never miss an upload from News 3 Las Vegas!
