Homeowner fires gun as two suspects attempt to enter home after fleeing crash, per police

“A Las Vegas homeowner fired a gun after two people attempted to force their way into her home after fleeing a nearby crash, according to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police. The incident happened around 9:20 p.m. in the 3900 block of Steinbeck Drive. Metro Police said officers initially responded to reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found a crash scene and learned that two people from one of the vehicles had run from the collision and attempted to enter a nearby residence. The homeowner fired a gun toward the suspects after being alerted by her 17-year-old daughter.
