Henderson police investigate Costco shoplifting case after suspect sprays mace at employee

“A suspected shoplifter sprayed mace inside a Henderson Costco on St. Rose Parkway on Saturday afternoon, prompting customers to evacuate as police investigated the scene. Henderson police said they responded to the store just before 2 p.m. Videos from the scene showed customers leaving the building while holding their breath to avoid the mace. Police said a suspect attempted to steal a laptop and, while fleeing, sprayed an employee with mace. Several other customers were also hit.
