Tenant says squatters keep breaking into her Charleston apartment complex

“A tenant at a gated apartment complex on Charleston Boulevard between Fremont and Mojave says squatters have been repeatedly breaking into units on weekends, leaving residents feeling unsafe and frustrated by what she describes as limited enforcement options when property management is not on site. Jessica, who lives at the Ridge on Charleston, said she contacted police but was told by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department that squatters could not be removed when management was not available after office hours to verify whether the people inside had a valid lease.
