Autumn Traditions in Las Vegas: Pumpkin Harvest & Fishing Ponds
“In October, many of us look for ways to celebrate the harvest and enjoy the beauty of nature – but do we even have a proper “autumn” in the Mojave Desert? You’d be surprised – and we hope you are, by this video! We explore two great local traditions for celebrating the season: First, a visit to the Gilcrease Orchard, in the north part of the Las Vegas Valley, where their Fall Harvest Festival is in full swing. Go pumpkin picking, take a hayride, try your luck in the straw maze and the corn maze – and then reward yourself with apple cider and a warm donut! Then, head down to the Las Vegas Strip for a perennial custom here, the beautiful autumn theme at Bellagio Conservatory. This year, it’s called “Casting Tranquility”, and it’s a classic fall woodland scene that can’t fail to charm you. Come celebrate autumn as only Las Vegas can do it!
