Las Vegas five-day sale puts affordability in focus after tourism slump
“Las Vegas needs to give visitors more certainty about vacation costs as it works to win back budget-conscious travelers, according to UNLV economist Andrew Woods. His assessment comes as the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority brings back its five-day sale. The promotion began Tuesday and runs through Sept. 26, with more than 180 offers, including hotel discounts of up to 60%. Woods, director of UNLV’s Center for Business and Economic Research, said the city needs to reach travelers who have been choosing other destinations.
