New NBA arena, new intersection: New development could be coming to the Las Vegas Strip

“A long-discussed push to bring an NBA arena to the Las Vegas Strip could also bring a major change to traffic flow near the south end of the resort corridor. Chetak Development says it plans to build what it calls the first new intersection on the Las Vegas Strip in 60 years. The proposed work centers on the intersection of Russell Road and Las Vegas Boulevard, which is currently a three-way intersection where eastbound drivers on Russell run directly into the Little Church of the West. Drivers at the intersection can currently only turn left or right, not continue straight through.
