“Brutal 111°F heat with winds gusting to 25 knots for the Sunday evening arrival of Delta 421 Heavy, an Airbus A330-900! It was pretty awesome to see two Delta heavies arrive at LAS today – first a Boeing 767-300ER, then this A330neo in the evening. We haven’t seen many Delta heavy jets at all lately. We mostly see them around CES or as the occasional equipment swap, but there was a time when Delta sent a heavy jet from Atlanta every day – often an A330neo. Those days are long gone, but hopefully we’ll see regular Delta widebody service return someday! Delta Air Lines flight DL421 arrived from Detroit (DTW) and landed on Las Vegas (LAS) runway 26L.
