Did Our FIRST Stay at The Venetian Live Up to the Hype? | Las Vegas Day 1

“The Venetian has been on our Las Vegas bucket list for years, so this trip was a big one. We finally booked our very first stay at one of the most talked-about resorts on the Strip. The question is… did it actually live up to the hype? After checking into our suite, our excitement lasted right up until we opened the curtains. Let’s just say our luxury view wasn’t exactly postcard material. Somewhere between “Italian elegance” and “maintenance department” is what we’ve officially named… the Venetian’s armpit. Before checking in, we switched up our normal Vegas routine. Instead of running straight to the casino, we grabbed a Hertz rental car and knocked out a few Vegas errands. Pop Pop made the mandatory pilgrimage to the TravisMathew Outlet because apparently golf polos deserve their own vacation, and we finally experienced Planet 13 for the first time. If you’ve never been, it’s much more than we expected. We wrapped up the evening with dinner at CHICA before hitting the casino floor to do what every gambler dreams about… earning enough comps to convince ourselves another Vegas trip is financially responsible. Along the way we discovered several new-to-us slot machines, including Hot Hot Flaming Pots: Mrs. Wong, which quickly became one of the standout games of the night.
