Just to be clear: Law enforcement has confirmed that a teenage female competitor was arrested but have not publicly released the suspect’s name. The name “Emily Grace” has been circulating widely on social media and within the horse community. One of the horse owners whose horse was injured has publicly stated that surveillance footage allegedly shows a girl entering and leaving the horse’s stall shortly before the attack. The horse owner did not specifically identify that person as Emily Grace in the statement I saw. This January message, if legit, raises questions about whether concerns were being voiced months before the incident.
