Celebrity Cruises

Celebrity Cruises has always offered a distinctive and comfortably sophisticated vacation experience with a level of service that really takes care of your clients. Now at last it has a name for this experience: "The Celebrity Treatment.

The Celebrity Treatment is a level of service tailored to the guests' individual needs, but it's not intrusive or forced. It's relaxed – which is exactly how Celebrity wants its guests to feel. The Celebrity Treatment is an extraordinary level of service and onboard experience that sets Celebrity apart from the competition and has led to such a large and loyal following of repeat guests. It ensures they'll get the vacation they deserve, highlighted by:

  1. Extraordinary service. Celebrity offers highly personalized, anticipatory but unobtrusive, service, with a guest-to-staff ratio of 2:1.
  2. A culinary experience that is best in class. From the inviting design of the venues to the gourmet menus created by Europe's renowned Master Chef Michel Roux, Celebrity's dining experience is second to none.
  3. A stylish, inviting environment. The ambience throughout every ship in the Celebrity fleet is one of understated elegance. It's sophisticated, but never stuffy.

The Celebrity Treatment is designed to show how Celebrity's service and experience as a whole makes guests feel like celebrities, and conveys the emotional connection they feel from the minute they step aboard until the moment they reluctantly leave.

What do guests say about Celebrity? Celebrity gives them a chance to look outward and inward, finding not only aspects of a world they may never have known, but discovering aspects of themselves. And for the travel agent, a happy client means a repeat one.

TOP HONORS – AGAIN
Celebrity Cruises placed six ships in the top ten – including the top four ships overall – in Conde Nast Traveler's annual "Best Cruise Ships" readers' poll, Feb. 2006

Product Distinctions

Celebrity Cruises believes a cruise is more than just another vacation option; it should be an experience unlike any other. It starts with spacious staterooms and fine dining, of course, complemented by enriching activities and interesting people.

Topping it all off is the Celebrity Treatment – the utmost in service that is attentive without being intrusive. It's the chilled towel served to you by the pool, the extra lemon wedges they only have to ask for once, or the lilacs they ordered to be delivered to their stateroom every morning with their coffee. It's the way the staff knows the passengers better than they would have ever expected.

It all adds up to an experience they'll want to relive over and over again, which means repeat business for you.

Families

X-Club Youth Program

Many Boomers still have children living at home and many may have grandchildren. Tell them about the family-friendly features available on a Celebrity ship – features that have made Celebrity the preferred choice for those  who choose to cruise with their children.

X Marks the Spot for Fun: For Boomers traveling with children, Celebrity's award-winning X-Club Youth Program provides fun for everyone, from activities to enjoy together to those specially designed for young people. With a combination of family accommodations, shore excursions designed with families in mind, onboard entertainment activities and the activity-based youth program, a Celebrity cruise is the perfect vacation for the entire family.

X-Club details: The X-Club's four-tiered supervised youth programs are specially created for children ages 3-17 with entertainment and activities well suited for each group. Activities are designed for age groups as follows: Ship Mates (ages 3-6), Cadets (ages 7-9), Ensigns (ages 10-12) and Admiral Ts (ages 13-15 and 16-17). Each morning a daily program lists the day's activities, games, parties and more. And special areas such as the Fun Factory, teen centers and pools are set aside for "kids only." Guests can feel secure leaving their children with specially trained and educated Celebrity youth counselors.

Fun Factory: This is where the magic happens and the fun starts. A place exclusively for our junior cruisers. Open from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. each and every night, entertaining every child and teen onboard the vessel with crafts, games, toys, arcade games, music, karaoke, a ball pit and much more. On the first day of the cruise there is an Open House, where families can get all the information they need about the X-Club and we plan each junior cruiser's fun-filled vacation.

Staffing: Youth activities are directed and organized by special staff of youth counselors. Staff members are highly qualified and specially trained in the fields of child psychology, child development, education or recreation. In addition to having a formal education, counselors have previous experience working with children at camps. YMCAs, park departments and other cruise lines. Most Celebrity counselors hail from the United States and Canada.

Toddler Time: The X-Club Program also offers "Toddler Time," in which parents and their toddlers can interact in their own private location. This activity is supervised by a staff member and will provide age appropriate toys and games. Celebrity's X-Club Youth Program will allow children under three and those not yet potty trained to utilize the facilities if accompanied by an adult.

Parents' Night Out: Parents get to go on a "date" while kids spend the entire evening, including dinner, with other kids and their Youth Counselors.

Baby-Sitting: For families with children participating in the X-Club Program, private in stateroom baby-sitting is available for $8 per hour, per family, for a maximum of 2 children. Children must be a minimum age of 6 months. For children 3 to 12 years old, there is an afternoon party from Noon to 2 p.m. on port days and a late night Slumber Party daily from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. at a charge of $6 per hour, per child.

Family Staterooms and Family-Friendly Staterooms: The larger Family Staterooms with two convertible lower beds, privacy partition and sitting area, are available on Century, Constellation, Galaxy, Infinity, Mercury, Millennium and Summit. Many of the suites and standard staterooms, available fleet wide, also offer one or more sofa beds, enabling families to sleep together in one cabin.

Groups

A Celebrity cruise has all the makings of an excellent group experience: top dining facilities, exciting activities, beautiful staterooms and meeting space to meet the needs of virtually any size group. A major advantage of shipboard over traditional land resort group experience is that participants get to travel to many destinations, not just one. Celebrity defines a group as a minimum of only 16 full-fare guests occupying a minimum of eight staterooms. This number can easily be reached with a family reunion group, or small incentive team looking to enjoy the high seas. The maximum group size is 250 guests. Larger groups can be contracted through Incentive Sales, under different terms.

Especially for Meeting/Incentive groups: A Celebrity cruise is the perfect way to reward top employees, show appreciation to clients or conduct an annual corporate meeting. Celebrity Cruises offers incentive and meeting planners a variety of ships, itineraries and programs. Cinema and Conference Centers have been specially designed to host multi-purpose events and feature a variety of audio-visual capabilities. Onboard convention services can offer elaborately themed award ceremonies, customized entertainment, exclusive shore excursions, corporate logos carved in ice and more. With exceptional attention to the details of the experience, Celebrity Cruises delivers quality and motivational appeal that no one else on land or sea can offer. We invite you to explore our site to learn how we can help make your next incentive offering or meeting a success.

The Celebrity Difference

Ambience

Ambience and service go hand-in-hand at Celebrity Cruises. Both exude refinement without being stuffy, creating a comfortably sophisticated experience that really takes care of Celebrity's guests. The atmosphere is amicable and inviting, with all the conveniences guests count on, and many luxuries they dream of.

Ambience, as defined by the Celebrity fleet, balances two opposites: contemporary and traditional. The interactive TVs, the computer center and the display of modern art on Celebrity ships tell you this is a premium cruise line for the 21st century. At the same time, the attentive and friendly waiters, retro-chic cocktail lounges and genteel service are reminiscent of the pre-jet "golden age of cruising."

Celebrity cultivates its distinctive milieu from the very beginning, when the ships are built. Every vessel is designed to provide a generous amount of personal space for each guest and is appointed with etched glass, wood, marble, tile and rich fabric. Here are some of the little touches that create the ambience that is Celebrity's own:
Fresh flowers adorn public areas.
At any time of day guests are much more likely to hear live music than loudspeaker announcements (which, unlike most cruise lines, are generally restricted to the lifeboat drill and emergencies).
Lighting is altered during the course of 24 hours to foster a relaxing environment appropriate to the time of day.
Color schemes vary in the public rooms, and each evokes a particular mood.
Celebrity has installed floor-to-ceiling windows where they offer the most enjoyment – dining rooms, observation lounges, nightclubs, and spas – to provide relaxing vistas of being at sea.
On each ship, several public rooms – like the restaurants and the theater – span two levels, with grand staircases and spacious verandas. The lobbies feature three- or four-story foyers.
Each ship's design and architecture is guest-friendly and provides access to more spacious public places as well as three towers of elevators including ocean-view elevators on Millennium Class Ships.

Cuisine

Acclaimed Master Chef Michel Roux has helped design Celebrity's entire food service program, from award winning menus and wine list to galley designs, service standards and executive restaurants staff training. The result? As you enter Celebrity's main dining room, crystal glasses, exquisite china and gleaming silverware shine in anticipation. You will savor the perfect ensemble of food and wine for the most delightful culinary experience at any meal.

Freshest Ingredients: No ready-made or commercially produced foods are used. Even sauces and dressings are made from scratch. Treats like ice cream and pizza are homemade as well.

Customized Dining: Guests' individual needs are catered to with special menus and "cooked-to-order" options such as a salad bar, pasta bar and omelet station. Lunch and dinner menus in the restaurant always feature vegetarian and light fare. The kitchen will also prepare diabetic, low-sodium, low-fat, low-cholesterol and lactose-free meals for guests who request them, ideally prior to embarkation. Children's and Kosher menus are also available.

Anytime Eating:

In addition to the two traditional formal seatings in the main restaurant, Celebrity's innovation offers a number of dining alternatives allowing for anytime eating, even beyond its 24-hour room service. Choices include:

Specialty Restaurants: The Specialty Restaurants elevate the dining experience in which cuisine is presented and finished tableside. The restaurant also accommodates a demonstration kitchen and dine-in wine cellar. The Specialty Restaurants are available on Constellation, Infinity, Millennium, Summit and most recently on Century. Reservations are required and a $30 per person service charge applies.

Casual Dining Boulevard: Guests can dine throughout the day and night at several venues within this area. Delectable delights include Sushi Cafe, pizza, pasta, healthy Spa Cafe, theme lunch buffets and soup/salad/sandwich bar.

More Casual Dining Choices: The Buffet is open for breakfast and lunch, and dining in the Cafe is available for dinner.

Late Night Dining: Celebrity's Gourmet Bites is offered three nights of each seven-night cruise as an alternative to late-night buffets; white-gloved waiters serve large selections of specialty gourmet dishes in all lounges and public areas. Plus, carving stations are set up in the Casual Dining Boulevard. Once every cruise, on formal night, Celebrity's Gala Buffet presents handmade ice carvings and elaborate displays. Three Midnight Buffets on average per cruise offer regional cuisine that corresponds to the destination visited.

Afternoon Tea: Afternoon Tea is served daily. Once a week, Elegant Tea is held in which waiters with trolley trays serve several flavors and blends of tea, accompanied by tea sandwiches and pastries.

24-Hour Room Service: Guests can order from the room service menu 24 hours a day and can order in-room service from the main restaurant menu during lunch and dinner hours.

AquaSpa® by Elemis

Celebrity Cruises set a new standard for the industry when it introduced its comprehensive AquaSpa facilities and custom-branded programs. Since its launch in 1995, AquaSpa, one of the largest floating spas of its kind and one of Celebrity's signature elements, has elevated the spa experience to match and even surpass land-based facilities.

AquaSpa is another distinctive element of any Celebrity Cruise. Be sure to use its features to help you close a sale. They include:

A Special Sanctuary: Celebrity dedicates vast onboard space and invests in breakthrough spa technologies to create the ultimate spa, fitness and beauty centers. Among Celebrity's fleet, the AquaSpas on Millennium, Infinity, Summit, and Constellation are the largest AquaSpas yet – almost half an acre.

The AquaSpa is a peaceful environment designed to pamper and rejuvenate. AquaSpa provides a soothing and aesthetically pleasing environment of color, texture and sound. It's a tranquil heaven where guests can indulge in herbal teas, lingering soft orange scents and attentive service, all while surrounded by softly moving drapery. They can enjoy the Thalassotherapy pool or choose from a host of treatments.

The Elemis Experience: AquaSpas are the only ocean-going spas operated by London's renowned Elemis Ltd. group. The Sensory Heaven treatments were created exclusively by Elemis and are influenced by 10 exotic cultures. Located on the famed Bond Street, Elemis was voted London's best day spa. Guests are catered to by staff educated in the Elemis philosophy of well-being and enjoy a holistic approach to natural skincare and body care.

The Traditional Musts: AquaSpa also has more traditional spa facilities, such as a sauna; steam room; a beauty salon for hairstyling, manicures and pedicures; and a fitness center complete with free weights, stationary bikes, rowers, treadmills and stair climbers. The AquaSpa staff conducts aerobics classes (for various levels of fitness), as well as Pilates and yoga classes, and provides personal-training consultation upon request.

Service

Dedication to service that is unparalleled yet unpretentious, and completely personal yet amazingly unobtrusive, is the cornerstone of the Celebrity Treatment. Such service adds great value to the Celebrity cruise experience. This aspect is especially important to Boomers, who are willing to spend more to get the vacation they deserve, but also expect top value for their money.

From the moment guests board the ship they are greeted individually by attentive stewards and escorted to their staterooms, and treated to friendly, refined service designed to make them feel like honored guests in an upscale private home. The key is Celebrity's success at striking a balance between formality and familiarity. Its comfortably sophisticated style emphasizes service as well as graciousness, warmth and relaxation.

One of the Highest Guest-to-Staff Ratios in the Premium Cruise Category: Celebrity Cruise's strives to ensure every need is anticipated. There is one staff member for every two guests – one of the best ratios in the industry. Celebrity wants its guests to feel tended to – whenever and however they desire it – but never pestered or fawned over. "Attentive but unobtrusive" are the operative ideals.

Ultimate Amenities: Guests will find such conveniences as hair dryers and mini-refrigerators in staterooms, and such pampering delights as breakfast in bed. Other especially nice touches include 24-hour room service; a guest service attendant for any guest concerns; culinary favors (such as "Gourmet Bites" late-night dining, afternoon tea, freshly made pizza for an afternoon or evening snack); tuxedo rental onboard; and minimal intrusion of the public-address system.

Butler Service and Concierge Class: The 24-hour personal Butler Service for all suites was designed to give guests the attention they need when they want it. In both suites and Concierge Class such things as priority embarkation and disembarkation, evening hors d'oeuvres and more make guests' cruises truly special.

Staterooms

Celebrity has always prided itself on the spaciousness and comfort of its staterooms, which the cruise line considers one of its signature features. The rooms were designed with the same diligent attention to detail and service that defines other aspects of a Celebrity vacation. The aim was to create a guest room that is well-equipped yet uncluttered. All accommodation designs and amenities focus on convenience, cleanliness and elegance. There are about 10 categories of staterooms (not including suites) on every ship. Some categories vary only according to deck. Celebrity's award-winning accommodations are noted for the roominess of their showers, closets and drawers.

Spaciousness: A standard ocean-view stateroom aboard Celebrity measures around 172 square feet and has two convertible twin beds, plus a nightstand, chair, small table, desk/vanity and window. Galaxy and Mercury also offer premium staterooms with private verandas and deluxe oversized rooms (210 square feet) with panoramic windows. All premium and deluxe units feature a sitting area. Century Veranda staterooms are 170 square feet and include a 42-square-foot veranda.

A Room With a View: In the current Celebrity fleet, approximately two-thirds to three-quarters of the accommodations on each ship are outside. On Millennium-class ships, 80 percent of all staterooms offer an ocean view and 74 percent feature verandas.

More Than Standard Amenities: Every Celebrity accommodation has direct-dial telephones, a safe, a hair dryer, waffle bathrobes, bathroom accessories, and a temperature control unit. Century, Galaxy and Mercury also provide a mini-bar and voice mail for in-room phones (these amenities are featured in select rooms aboard Zenith as well). Fleetwide, all staterooms are outfitted with a 20-inch TV featuring programming by the Celebrity Network, the most advanced in-room entertainment center at sea.

Family Staterooms: These staterooms offer more room and more privacy for those traveling with their children. On Constellation, Infinity, Millennium, Summit they are 271 square feet and include an impressive 242 square foot veranda. They feature two convertible lower beds, floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors, privacy partition, sitting area and some with two sofa beds. On Galaxy and Mercury, Family Staterooms are 210 square feet with panoramic windows. They too have two convertible lower beds, partition screen and sitting area, some with two sofa beds. Century's Family Veranda staterooms are 195 square feet with a 42-square-foot veranda.

Concierge Class: Concierge Class is a new class of stateroom fleetwide, offering guests another choice in terms of refined service and amenities. It features a taste of luxury for those who want more. Concierge Class offer these amenities and services:

Suites

Understated elegance and an exemplary level of service dictate all that one encounters on a Celebrity cruise. These elements come together completely and clearly in the guest suites.

The elegant suites feature all the furnishings that are standard in Celebrity staterooms: mini-bar, hair dryer, safe, TV, etc., plus they have a veranda (except in Celebrity Suites in Millennium-class ships), floor-to-ceiling windows, a marble-tiled bathroom with whirlpool tub, a sitting area with sofa bed, and VCR. TVs in Celebrity suites get larger in proportion to stateroom size: Suites and Sky Suites have 20-inch TVs, Royal Suites have 29-inch sets, and those in Penthouse Suites measure 32-inches. All suites receive 24-hour butler service and Celebrity's Suite Indulgences.

Celebrity and Sky Suites: On Millennium-class ships Sky Suites are 251 square feet with a 57 square foot veranda; Celebrity Suites are 467 square feet with separate living room with dining/sitting area. On Century, suites (including Sky Suites) are 244 square feet. Verandas are 69 square feet in suites, 142 square feet in Sky Suites. Aboard Mercury and Galaxy, suites and Sky Suites are 246 square feet; verandas are 70 square feet and 179 square feet respectively. Zenith's Deluxe Suite is 270 square feet.

The Royal Treatment: Royal Suites range from 506 to 538 square feet and feature a veranda, living room with dining/sitting area, two TVs, VCR and music center. On Millennium-class ships they also feature Internet station; walk-in closet; bath including tub with whirlpool jets and separate stall shower; and veranda with whirlpool tub. Zenith does not offer this category of suite, but does have a Celebrity Suite measuring 500 square feet.

The Penthouse: For the ultimate in luxury and service, Celebrity's Penthouse Suites resemble a Park Avenue apartment, measuring 1,101 feet on Century, Galaxy and Mercury with verandas with whirlpool at 118 square feet. Millennium-class ships' Penthouse Suites are 1,432 square feet with 1,098 square-foot verandas with whirlpool and wet bar. The Penthouse includes living room, dining room, two TV/VCRs, Laser Vision player and screen, music center, shower and whirlpool tub in the bathroom, and a dressing room with walk-in closet. Millennium-class Penthouse Suites also feature a baby grand piano, butler's pantry, exercise equipment, powder room with shower, fax machine and Internet station.

Onboard Experience

Celebrity Cruises truly distinguishes itself with its onboard experience, from the trend-setting public spaces to the little touches that pay tribute to the fine art of living. Its lounges, entertainment and enrichment programs reflect the growing preferences of Boomers and their families for sophisticated day and nightlife and the desire to try new things.

Below are some of the aspects of the Celebrity onboard experience that enable guests to enjoy "life as it should be."

Glamorous Lounges: Rendez-Vous Square or Lounge situated outside the main dining room is the favorite gathering place for pre-dinner drinks. The area features a dance floor and piano. Every Celebrity ship has a lounge on the top deck. Walls of windows make these prime observation spots. (Celebrity even provides high-powered observation lenses and viewers.) There's also a piano and dance floor for evening enjoyment. Michael's Club offers guests a chance to listen to the piano while sipping a variety of aperitifs in an intimate setting. A wide variety of guests will revel nightly in the pulsating discos which feature DJs or live bands depending on the night or theme. Live music can be found in various lounges at various times each evening, throughout the ship.

Show Time: Celebrity's show lounges are the setting for lavish musical productions and revues. The audio/visual, lighting and special-effects capabilities are on a par with those of a Broadway theater.

Martini or Champagne Bars: Celebrity's martini bars mix up an extensive selection of cocktails. Most Celebrity ships also feature a champagne bar with caviar. Being introduced on Century is the Ice Bar destined to be the talk of the cruise industry. This extraordinary bar features a bar counter that actually freezes into ice cold stone and a wall behind the bar that freezes creating unique displays of frozen ice crystals.

Cova® Café Milano: These are seafaring outlets of Cova, the famed café next to La Scala opera house in Milan, Italy, that has attracted a chic crowd since 1817. The menu, exclusive to Celebrity, features Cova's own blend of coffee plus cappuccino, espresso, liqueurs, chocolates, pastries, teas, wine and champagne. You'll also find new "Taste of Europe" savories. Every evening the Cova Café Milano transforms into a sophisticated wine bar and often features live music.

The Extraordinary Touches: Poolside guests are treated to cold towels (also offered at gangway after shore excursions); complimentary ice water and juices; afternoon sorbet parade (sea days); and fashion shows. Guests can also have a massage poolside, or in their stateroom (exclusive to suites), if they choose. Complimentary champagne and orange juice is served upon embarkation.

Enrichment Programs and Lectures: Guests can indulge in pilates or sunset yoga, discover dance with classes led by Celebrity dancers, or learn how to cook from an executive chef while onboard. Celebrity's expanded enrichment program includes art auction lectures. Full-time librarians oversee the shipboard library. They can rent an iPod or download thousands of selections from a digital music library. Guests who wish to stay connected can do just that at Celebrity's Internet Cafes. Original works by renowned artists are showcased throughout the ship.

On every cruise, Celebrity invites two to five special guest lecturers onboard to participate in the Celebrity Discovery Enrichment Series program. Topics range from finance and astronomy, to wine education and politics, to history and culture. Past Enrichment Series have included: "A News Correspondent's Life: Getting the Story on 5 Continents," "Mangoes and Madras: A Brief Cultural History of the Caribbean," "Money and Markets: The Economy and You," and "Demystifying Wine: Tasting Wines Like a Professional." Speakers for these series have included such respected personalities as Walter Cronkite, Rita Moreno, Ernest Borgnine, Dick van Patten, Sander Vanocur and Dick Morris.

Museum-Quality Art

Celebrity Cruises owns thousands of original works of art and has distributed them among its fleet, thereby making the ships not only floating resorts but floating museums as well. Every Celebrity liner contains modern works by recognized artists.

The multimillion-dollar art collection is a signature element of Celebrity Cruises, and its caliber is unique in the industry. Unlike a museum, where art is displayed in dedicated rooms (often in roped-off areas), Celebrity ships exhibit their art openly, throughout public areas. This allows passengers to "live" with the art, enhancing the aesthetic aspect of their trip.

Hundreds of Pieces: The numbers transform each ship into its own museum. Approximate number of pieces of artwork on each ship is: Century, 500; Galaxy, 450; Mercury, 400; Millennium, Infinity, Summit, and Constellation, 450 each; Zenith, 100.

The Artwork: The Celebrity art trove encompasses paintings, sculptures, photographs, drawings and multimedia works. These are not copies, and they were not purchased from vendors that typically supply art for hotels, public buildings and other cruise lines. They are original works by such giants of modern art as Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, Jasper Johns, Christo, David Hockney, Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Rauschenberg, and Botero. Other artists represented include Damien Hirst, Sol LeWitt, Helen Frankenthaler, Cindy Sherman, Frank Stella, Alex Katz and Donald Judd. There is a theme for each ship: Century showcases contemporary masters; Galaxy focuses on the avant-garde; Mercury represents the 1970s and later.

Name-dropping: Highlights aboard Century include several Andy Warhol favorites and a sculpture of colored violins. Picasso's painting "Grand Tete de Femme au Chapeau Orne" hangs in Michael's Club on Century. Aboard Mercury, there are lithographs by Richard Serra, photographer Lynn Davis' "iceberg series," a record cover collage by Christian Marclay, and Lawrence Weiner's paintings of poetic lines on walls.

The Celebrity Fleet

Overview

Celebrity Cruises' current fleet of nine ships is among the youngest of the major lines and includes:
Zenith. With approximately 1,366 berths, it was built in 1992.
The Century Class. Century, Galaxy and Mercury – which carry approximately 1,870 guests each – came along in 1995, 1996 and 1997, respectively. Century was given an exciting $55 million makeover in May of 2006.
The Millennium Class. The 1,950-passenger Millennium entered service in November of 2000 and was joined by sister ship Infinity in March 2001. Summit entered service in 2001 and Constellation in May of 2002.
Celebrity Xpedition. Celebrity's newest ship – a luxury mega-yacht – entered the fleet in January of 2004, designated for exploration of The Galapagos Islands.

Celebrity's ships are recognizable by the large white "X" on a dark-colored smokestack. (X is the symbol for the Greek letter "chi," an emblem of the Chandris family who originally owned Celebrity.) Exteriors are bright white with bands of navy blue. Renowned yacht designer Jon Bannenburg created the line's distinctive stack and hull striping. Attention to detail is evident in the fine fabrics, rich etched glass, wood, leather and marble used in building and furnishing the liners. World-class artwork, the imaginative and understated use of light, and overall craftsmanship all contribute to the exquisite ambience aboard any Celebrity ship.

Celebrity Technology

Technological innovation is a Celebrity hallmark, manifested in comprehensive audiovisual services available for meetings and groups, multifaceted in-room entertainment systems, and state-of-the-art computers and business equipment. The cinema/conference centers aboard Celebrity ships are equipped for latest run movies, slide shows, videotape play and recording, and computer-generated projection of graphics. Constellation and Century now boast WiFi networks.

In-room TVs offer more choices – more than 10 channels. The entertainment and interactive communication programming available via TV comprises what is known as The Celebrity Network. Through the Network, guests can use their stateroom TV to:
Tune-in to complimentary movies airing at scheduled times
Watch recently released movies shown on a pay-per-view basis
Watch brief videos about shore excursions
Play casino-style TV games, with appropriate charges billed to their account
Purchase shore excursion tickets
Order room service
Select wine for dinner
Peruse a video brochure about AquaSpa
Review their account

Every stateroom in the Celebrity fleet has a direct-dial telephone. Constellation, Century, Infinity and Summit also feature Connect@Sea, a dial-up Internet service in every stateroom. (Please note: This service is not available on Millennium.) To receive or send a fax, guests need only contact the Radio Room.

Zenith

Young by cruise ship standards, the Zenith is Celebrity's oldest vessel and stands as a shining example of the premium cruise liner. A few years ago the ship underwent refurbishment, which is rare for such a young vessel, and further evidence of Celebrity's commitment to – and pride in – its fleet. The objective was to create venues for Celebrity's trademark services and experiences: Cova Café Milano; a Martini bar and Michael's Club. Zenith's health club was transformed into an AquaSpa® by Elemis® – Celebrity's custom-branded fitness and beauty center.

Zenith Facts
Measures approximately 47,255 gross registered tons.
In service since 1992.
Public rooms on Zenith include a Main restaurant, indoor/outdoor café, Sushi Café show lounge, disco, casino, children's playroom and retail shops.
For outdoor activity, there are two swimming pools and a jogging track.
Zenith is 682 feet long, and carries 1,366 guests.
Zenith has the highest proportion of oceanview staterooms of any ship in the current Celebrity fleet: 541 of its 687 accommodations are rooms with a view.

Century Class

The second generation of Celebrity vessels – Century, Galaxy and Mercury – are referred to as "Century-class" ships. Century was Celebrity's first large ship, and it recently completed an extensive refurbishment that added many luxurious amenities and lavish touches. The sleek, contemporary design and décor of these ships exhibit Celebrity's commitment to cruising excellence.

The 'New' Century

Celebrity's Century has completed a remarkable makeover and now offers 314 newly added private verandas, for a total of 393 veranda staterooms, an expanded Concierge Class of 176 staterooms, 14 new Sky Suites, for a total of 75 butler-serviced suites, 10 handicapped-accessible staterooms, including 2 of the new Sky Suites. In addition, all stateroom categories feature enhanced amenities, including Premium mattresses, fine Egyptian cotton linens, Euro pillows, bed throws, pillow shams, Samsung flat screen TVs and wireless Internet access. Continuing Celebrity's tradition of innovative lounges, the Martini Bar onboard Century boasts the first "ice bar" concept at sea. Designed by Celebrity's own Fleet Design department, Century's Martini Bar features a liquid wall that freezes to form a sparkling crystalline appearance and a bar counter that freezes into ice-cold stone, while a solid block of ice creatively displays bottles of liquor behind the bar. Century also now features an enlarged AquaSpa® by Elemis® and a number of new dining and enrichment options.

Celebrity's Signature Dining Options onboard Century include:
Murano Restaurant – with decoration inspired by the timeless beauty of the Venetian island of Murano, the intimate 66-seat Murano Specialty Restaurant blends tradition with a chic contemporary flair.
The Cova® Café Milano – offering aromatic coffee and pastries by day, wine and music by night
Brand new AquaSpa Café – offering light and healthy spa cuisine
The Islands Café – offering these expanded dining alternatives: Sushi Bar, Sunset Bar with fresh tapas, Ice Cream Parlor, and omelet, crepe, pizza & pasta counters
Galaxy and Mercury

These are virtually sister ships, differing only in decor and placement of public areas. All three ships feature Celebrity's signature fitness and lounge facilities including the AquaSpa, Michael's Club, martini and champagne bars, and the Cova Café Milano. Each ship has a casino, disco, theater, cinema/conference center, card room, library and several lounges of varying sizes. Also onboard each vessel are shops, children's centers and a video game room.

Millennium Class

Celebrity Cruises' newest class of ships is the Millennium family. Celebrity sees the Millennium-class vessels as natural progressions of its current fleet, and state-of-the-art showcases for the line's signature elements, which include gourmet cuisine, museum-quality art, and unique public rooms and private quarters.

The high space-to-guest ratio of the ships epitomizes Celebrity's emphasis on content over capacity. For example, on Millennium class ships Celebrity doubled the size of the AquaSpa, to 25,000 square feet (nearly half an acre). Infinity, Millennium, Summit, and Constellation boast conservatories at sea showcasing the floral designs of Emilio Robba of Paris. Infinity, Constellation and Summit feature Connect@Sea, a dial-up Internet service in every stateroom; Constellation and Century have WiFi.

Celebrity is the first cruise line to use gas turbine engines, which give Millennium, Infinity, Summit, and Constellation lower noise, vibration and exhaust emissions than current systems. Because of this initiative, Celebrity Cruises won the "William M. Benkert Award for Environmental Excellence" from the U.S. Coast Guard in June 2002.

Celebrity's other innovations aboard the Millennium-class ships include glass elevators facing the sea and floating music libraries, equipped with personal listening stations and over 1,500 CDs, and iPod rentals (for downloading digital music that guests can take with them anywhere on the ship). The line pushes the envelope in shopping, too: the 14,000-square-foot Emporiums include H. Stern, Coach and other such quality shops. Celebrity's specialty restaurants on the Millennium-family vessels feature tableside food preparation and décor that incorporates maritime artifacts from great transatlantic liners of the past, creating a warm, historic ambience.

The ships have 975 staterooms: 780 ocean-view and 195 inside. Suites total 44 on each ship, including Penthouse Suites at over 1,690 square feet, with a veranda featuring a whirlpool and wet bar.
