A bargain priced destination. The capital city of Buenos Aires has been likened to the great capital cites of Europe. You get to experience Europe and Latin America all in one place.

While not as inexpensive to get to from the US as other places in North America, Argentina still presents an very affordable travel option. It is one the four cheapest place in South America to stay and live.

Two popular trips within Argentina include Iguazu Falls and the far reaches of mountainous Patagonia. The waterfalls at Iguazu are said to an awe inspiring jaw dropping experience for most people. Both are about a 20 hour bus ride away from  Buenos Aires in opposite directions.

Visitor Information - The Argentine tourism bureau has more information on getting there, when to travel, getting around by bus car and plane. They have more pictures and specific details than you'll find in most printed travel guides. they cover a wider range of locations than you'll get from non local sources.

You'll also get added visitor information from this online guide which has more handy details about eating, traveling, costs, money, telephone, postal, work, study and much more. This unofficial version should give you a less biased view of what to expect.

Pictures - Poster art is a good way to get an overview of the history, geography and attractions that a country offers. These pictures of Argentina are beautiful and show off the country well. If you are doubt about a trip to Argentina, these images just might inspire you to go there.

You can also check out the Buenos Aires photos during a trip I took there in Oct 2006. During the time we were there, both Ricoleta and San Telmo had local ferrias.

Casino - There is also a riverboat casino operation in Puerto Madero near downtown Buenos Aires which attracts many tourists looking for something different.
